NHS Digital Tenders & Public Sector Tenders in one place | Creative Tenders coming soon

Creative Tenders was launched to support the growth of the UK’s creative sector.

Launching in March 2015, Creative Tenders is the brainchild of husband and wife team Jill and John Hudson. Having worked in the creative and digital sector for over 15 years, Jill understands the daily strains of finding new business and competing in a busy marketplace.

Having worked in all size agencies, and managed hundreds of creative sales staff in her career, Jill knew there must be an easier way to find new business, and be more proactive with tender opportunities and winning new business.

The Current Problem

“In most agencies, I have worked with in my career, a lot of focus is made on finding suitable tenders to bid for when finding these tenders, a good amount of effort is made in delivering these, meaning the sales team are then brought into project managing the delivery of projects secured,” said Jill.

“This means no one within the company is really focused on securing new business 100% of the time.  Those agencies who are fortunate enough to truly have someone working 100% of the time on business development, spend too much time looking across the hundreds of tender sites weekly to spend any time on proactive sales. At our last count, there were over 700 tender sites to capture data from. We have broken down tenders from these websites into various sub-sectors. This includes Marketing Tenders, Video Production Tenders, Printing Tenders, Design Tenders, and Event Management Tenders.”, she continues.

“This was always a problem with my sales teams when working in agencies.  We wanted to be more proactive, but at the same time, we didn’t want to miss any public sector, education, or NHS contracts that were being posted on the multiple sites, and ensuring we stayed on top of this took time”.

“Certainly there were sites we could use to tap into that grouped these tenders together, but really without a good understanding of CPV codes we didn’t truly access 100% of the tenders available, they were mixed with thousands of tenders from other sectors which were not relevant at all to our business, and of course these systems only had public sector tenders present” said Jill.

John Hudson, Technical Director went on to say “What we really wanted was a site which had a good stream of public and private sector work to bid for, and ideally a system that only had relevant creative and digital tenders on it.  It bugged Jill so much, that we decided to create one.  Using our knowledge and experience of what agencies needed and wanted Creative Tenders was born”.

Creative Tenders is a system that does exactly that.  It brings together both public and private sector opportunities for businesses to quote on, giving a helping hand to your sales team even through busy periods of delivery.

“The old saying is ‘you should work on the business development of your company during its busiest times’, so this system allows you to do that without your sales team being dragged in multiple different directions”. Says John.

With 8 years experience running a lead generation company for the creative and digital sector in the UK, Jill feels she is the right person to drive this system forward.

The system will formally launch in March 2015, and sales and marketing campaigns are progressing now to generate interest from both none creative businesses looking for a creative solution and creative businesses actively seeking new work.
